Blessings in the Mighty Name of Yeshua Hamashiach!
My father would often tell me, "If you're going to do something, do it well or don't do it all." I've lived with this concept all my life sometimes to my own detriment. Becoming a perfectionist of sort.
However, desiring to give Adonai your best is a good thing.
A “spirit of excellence” is often described as a mindset and attitude that drives a person to strive for the highest standards in all aspects of life.
In a Christian context, the spirit of excellence is about doing everything to the best of one’s ability as a reflection of God’s greatness. It involves being faithful, diligent, and committed to continuous improvement.
Cultivating a spirit of excellence means paying attention to details, going the extra mile, and consistently striving to improve. It’s about having a mindset that values quality and integrity in every action, no matter how small it may seem.
Colossians 3:23-25 AMP
Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, [24] knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve. [25] For he who does wrong will be punished for his wrongdoing, and [with God] there is no partiality [no special treatment based on a person’s position in life].
