Blessings in the Mighty Name of Yeshua Hamashiach!
Psalms 51:6 AMP
[6] Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part [of my heart] You will make me know wisdom
[9] Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities.
[10] Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.
[17] My [only] sacrifice [acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; A broken and contrite heart [broken with sorrow for sin, thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise.
When sin runs rampant in our lives, it kills us (Ephesians 2:1-3) – not physically, but spiritually. And a man who is dead spiritually never feels the weight of sin in his life. A person given over to sin is not sensitive to its pressure (Ephesians 4:17-19).
Too many people carry the burdens of their sins around, never paying attention that they are there. They never realize how much it is hindering their lives and slowing them down. Yet it doesn’t have to be that way. We can do as David did in this Psalm and turn our hearts to Adonai for cleansing and healing.
Shalom
